It's official: The M8 Coupe And Convertible Are Back!

This year the lack of our beloved BMW M8's luxurious models will be missed for sure, despite the popularity of the previous four-door 8 Series Coupe popularity. Even though the German automaker offered lesser variants for the series' Coupe and Convertibles, BMW announces that the two-door M8 models will be back onto the 2022 model year.

2022 M8 Coupe, Convertibles, and Grand Coupe Competition are already listed on the EPA's official website offering range details such as 15mpg in the city, 23-mpg on the highway, and 17-mpg combined. These specifications were recently officially confirmed as legit by Alex Schmuck, the BMW Technology Communications Manager.

There are no more standard M8 models from the same website - only the M8 Competitions variants were left. So, it's official that the M8 models won't be sold anymore. The M8 variants will be offered in Competition guise for next year's model. For the customers, this would be an expense that rises above the usual $138,000 by another amount of $13,000. At least, they will get an output of 617 horsepower and a reachable 0-60 mph performance in just 3.0 seconds for the Competition models.

BMW hasn't yet confirmed, but there could be even a more hardcore version for the 2022 M8 Competition models to ease customers' sadness and expense discomfort. BMW faces high expectancies from its fans - this time they already hopefully dream-demand a hybrid drive train for the M5 CS model.
