Introducing The First-Gen Hyundai Grandeur Cabrio

One of South Korea's earliest luxury cars, the Hyundai Grandeur, has just been revived with an all-new generation. Even if it's not a Hyundai-branded item, this amazing first-generation Grandeur convertible still has a lot of wow factor. Peaches constructed the open-top Grandeur seen in the video above.

It has four doors and seating for five people. Peaches is a group of South Korean vehicle enthusiasts that use their talents as musicians, filmmakers, fashion designers, and artists to produce the most extreme aftermarket cars in the country.

This specific model, known as the Newtro Grandeur, is a top-less variant that retains the conventional rear quarter panels. Traditional Korean furniture painting inspired the unique designs on the hood, and the B-pillars have been removed.

However, the extent to which the chassis has been strengthened to accommodate the car's roofless design is unknown. The interior remains mostly unchanged from the original car from the 1980s; however, it does have some new details, such as a high-quality leather treatment for the seats and door panels. The gear shifter and a few other controls on the dashboard have been redesigned.

The Grandeur Convertible's engine is a mystery to us. However, the original Hyundai Grandeur featured a 2.0-liter engine made by Mitsubishi, which was eventually swapped out for a 2.4-liter unit. A 3.0-liter V6 was introduced as an alternative in the early 1990s.
