Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, it is our pleasure to introduce you to the new, updated, and diesel-engine-free models Skoda Scala and Skoda Kamiq.

Embracing extensive changes to both exterior and interior design, Skoda elevates the trim structure by offering six design variants, a range of equipment packages, and several individual options.

As for the exterior makeup, the Hatchback and the Crossover benefit from refreshed headlights with optional matrix LED technology, courtesy of the VW Group's MQB A0 platform. The Czech company also modified the grilles and taillights, and the revamped model now features L-shaped reflectors.

In terms of safety, nine airbags are at your service. Furthermore, the Crew Protect system can automatically close all windows and tighten the front seat belts if it detects an impending collision.

The Mladá Boleslav automaker also refreshed the wheel catalog with brand-new model designs, some of which are now accompanied by aero inserts. Choose the Scala, and you'll have the possibility to select from nine exterior colors, including Steel Grey, and an optional expanded rear window with black glass.

For the Scala, Skoda designed a rough road suspension that increases ground clearance by 15 millimeters. Both cars can be equipped with a sportier suspension, bringing the hatchback 15 mm closer to the road.

Opt for Kamiq and discover nine paint options, including Phoenix Orange, along with matching side mirror caps and roof.

Stepping inside, the vehicles are fitted with an automatic climate control system and feature a revised panel that's more intuitive than before. Skoda uses recycled materials for upholstery, mats, and flooring, and fully utilizes renewable materials like hemp and kenaf for the door cards. The top-of-the-line Monte Carlo models come with standard multi-way LED ambient lighting and several sporty accents.

Along with a fresh appearance, Scala and Kamiq offer appealing supplementary Simply Clever features, borrowed from other models, such as smartphone pockets on the backs of the front seats.

Automakers are gradually phasing out diesel engines from their small cars, considering stricter emissions regulations in the European Union. As a result, the Scala and Kamiq 2024 versions will not include diesel motors, offering only TSI evo2 engines as TDI powertrains are absent.

Consequently, the duo will be available with a three-cylinder 1.0 TSI engine delivering 95 hp (75 kW) through a five-speed manual gearbox, or a more potent option with 115 hp (85 kW), paired with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DSG). The more substantial the engine, the more powerful it is, and it has the technical ability to deactivate cylinders to save fuel when unnecessary.

As standard, the cars come with an eight-inch driver's display, which can be upgraded to 10.25 inches, and two 15-watt USB-C ports (with the option to install an additional port in the interior mirror).
