The 2023 Mercedes-AMG EQE, the smaller sibling of the AMG EQS flagship, has been unveiled by the company. The non-AMG Mercedes EQE Sedan has previously been announced, but the AMG version comes with a slew of modifications to the suspension, brakes,  visual styling, and standard equipment.

The AMG-specific synchronous electric engines are installed at both the front and back axles, resulting in completely variable all-wheel drive, which transmits power to the ground based on traffic conditions and five driving modes: Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, or Individual.

The motors are powered by a 328-volt, 90.6-kWh battery that is made up of ten modules and 360 cells. When fitted with the AMG Dynamic Plus Package and boost function, overall output is 677 hp and 738 lb-ft of quick torque. You'll still get 617 hp and 701 lb-ft without the package or in regular driving conditions if you don't use launch control. Mercedes claims 0-60 mph takes 3.2 seconds (3.4 seconds without the AMG Dynamic Plus Package). Drivers will be able to reach a top speed of 149 mph with the kit, or 137 mph without it.

Even though electric vehicles may be more silent than a V8 engine, AMG has developed a sound generator, a bass actuator, and unique speakers to alleviate the situation. Authentic and Performance sound programs are available, and each includes a Balanced, Sport, and Powerful option.

When the automobile is opened and closed, the headlights have an AMG-specific projection. The high-gloss black front splitter starkly contrasts with the body color-painted front bumper. On either side, there are extra air diffusers, as well as AMG sill panels.

The bumper on the back is painted the same color as the body. A huge rear spoiler is also a must-have accessory.  Even the basic 20-inch alloy wheels (21-inch alloy wheels are available) are aerodynamically enhanced. The usual crop of AMG badging can be found inside, including in the headrests and the flat-bottom steering wheel. The MB-Tex material with microfiber and red piping is used to cover AMG seats with custom motifs. Seats in Nappa leather are an additional expense.

The MBUX Hyperscreen curved display, which spans the whole width of the dash, is an optional addition. For a more aggressive, darker look, the AMG Night Package can be installed. The AMG Track Pace MBUX virtual race engineer app will be available to all owners, which will allow them to track lap times.

Information on pricing and EPA-rated range will arrive closer to the start of sales in early 2023.
