Infiniti Teases Rugged And Sporty QX80 Concepts Ahead Of Monterey Car Week

Infiniti just pulled the wraps off the QX80 Sport, but it looks like that’s just the beginning. Two more variants are on the way, and they’ll be previewed as concepts during Monterey Car Week. First up is the QX80 Terrain Spec, an off-road-focused version that means business.
From what we can see, it’s got a beefy skid plate, extended fender flares, a roof rack, an auxiliary light bar, and what looks like increased ride height. It might borrow some tricks from the Nissan Armada Pro-4X too—like air suspension, all-terrain tires, a better approach angle, and a locking rear diff. If this makes it to production, it could be Infiniti’s answer to the $96,500 GMC Yukon AT4 Ultimate or the $114,500 Lexus LX 700h Overtrail.

On the other end, there’s the QX80 Track Spec. This one's all about performance and sharp design. It sports a unique front bumper and gives off serious high-speed highway vibes. Think of it like Infiniti’s version of the Armada Nismo, which means we could see sportier suspension, quicker steering, and a reworked exhaust that sounds more aggressive. The Nismo also packs a punch with its 460-hp twin-turbo V6—a bump up from the QX80’s current 450 hp.

Infiniti’s also teasing something a bit different: the QX65 Monograph. This sleek crossover coupe concept hints at a sportier, two-row version of the QX60. The latest teaser shows a bold grille with an illuminated logo, paired with Infiniti’s signature digital piano key headlights. Based on earlier spy shots, it’s expected to run a 2.0-liter VC-Turbo four-cylinder with 268 hp and 286 lb-ft of torque.
