In The Upcoming 2022 BMW 7-Series, There Will Be A New V8 Engine

According to BMW Blog, the next-generation 2022 BMW 7-Series will include a new 4.4-liter V8 petrol engine rated at S68. There will be two versions of the Bavarian limousine: an updated version of the B58 with a six-cylinder engine and an all-electric i7 with a 100% electric drive system.

The G70 index is likely to be used for the next generation of the 2022 BMW 7-Series, with the 735i being the entry-level model. The 3.0-liter B58 inline-six engine in the seven's most inexpensive configuration will produce 273-hp. Because of BMW 740i's 375-hp requirement, the same engine will be employed in the BMW 740i.

Even though the new S68 engine retains the conventional 4.4-liter capacity of the traditional Bavarian V8, it now produces 543-hp. The eight-cylinder BMW 7-Series, on the other hand, is going to be a hybrid, although to what extent is yet unknown.

BMW i7 electric car, which will be available as a top-of-the-line model, will feature two electric motors with a combined output of 660-hp. Previously, information from the same source hinted to a range of almost 500 km.

It's interesting how soon after the end of the Munich Auto Show the unauthorized information about 2022 BMW 7-Series surfaced. This event had been expected to include a concept that was close to the final production model, however, that did not happen. By the second part of 2022, the new BMW 7-Series G70 should be available to the general public.
