In Japan, Fiat 500 Receives The Giallissima Special Edition

The conventional Fiat 500, which has been on the market since 2007 and undergone a makeover in 2016, received a new special edition in Japan named the 500 Giallissima, with manufacture restricted to just 200 cars.

The exterior yellow color of the Fiat 500 Giallissima is the most eye-catching feature. With 14-inch wheels, black-painted mirror caps, LED DRLs, and halogen headlights, the model appears to be quite common. A yellow dash is coupled with dark-blue cloth upholstery for the seats, giving the interior a nice theme. The 7-inch Uconnect infotainment touchscreen, a pair of USB outlets, and seven airbags are all included.

The classic naturally aspirated 1.2-liter 8-valve four-cylinder motor produces 68 hp (51 kW / 69 PS) and 102 Nm (75.2 lb-ft) of torque under the hood. Since 2020, this engine has been substituted in Europe by the mild-hybrid 1.0 FireFly three-cylinder, but this drivetrain is not available in Japan. A five-speed sequential automatic gearbox with paddles transmits power to the front axle, and the engine features a start-stop system.

Fiat 500 Giallissima will go on sale in Japan on March 5 for ¥2,330,000 ($20,285). Fiat is now releasing the 500 Sport in a limited quantity of 175 cars for Japan, with prices starting at ¥2,740,000 ($23,871). This model gets a more muscular body kit as well as a more powerful turbocharged 0.9-liter two-cylinder motor with 84 hp (63 kW / 85 PS).
