The all-new Hyundai Staria is on its way to Australia, with local sales set to begin this month. Customers in Australia will have the option of ordering the new Staria with either a 2.2-liter CRDi turbocharged four-cylinder diesel with 174 hp (130 kW) and 317 lb-ft (430 Nm) or a 3.5-liter MPi V6 with 268 hp (200 kW) and 244 lb-ft (331 Nm) of torque, as in other regions.

FWD is available with the 3.5-liter motor, while AWD is available with the diesel motor.  Both are mated to an automatic gearbox with eight speeds.

There will be three trim levels available. The 3.5-liter Staria starts at AU$48,500 (US$35,829), while the 2.2-liter turbo-diesel starts at AU$51,500 (US$38,046). The Hyundai SmartSense system provides blind-spot collision avoidance aid, driver focus warning, forward collision avoidance assist, high beam assist, and lane following assist as basic features.

Keyless entry, 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster, 8-inch touchscreen display, six-speaker sound system, and back temperature controls are also included.

The Staria Elite is a step up the range from the Staria. Smart power sliding doors, a power tailgate, a smart key with remote start, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 3D surrounding view screen are among the features. The Staria Elite 3.5 starts at AU$56,500 (US$41,739) while the 2.2 diesel costs AU$59,500 (US$43,956).

The Staria Highlander is the range's top model, with prices starting at AU$63,500 (US$46,911) for the 3.5-liter and AU$66,500 (US$49,127) for the diesel. A dual power roof, heated and vented front seats, heated steering wheel, blind-spot view monitor, rear passenger view monitor, LED map lighting, and a cloth headliner are among the features added.

Abyss Black, Moonlight Blue, Gaia Brown Mica, Graphite Grey, and Olivine Grey Metallic are Staria's color options for Australian customers.
