Hyundai Casper Is Transformed Into A Cute Van

In South Korea, the tiny Hyundai Casper is getting a new version aimed towards small companies with stores across town. Hyundai's charming commercial vehicle, simply known as the Casper Van, removes the back seats of a standard city car to increase cargo space to 940 liters (33.2 cubic feet).

A partitioner separates the seats from the cargo area, and metal bars prevent the windows and rear windshield from being damaged. The three-cylinder, 1.0-liter naturally aspirated motor with 75 hp (56 kW) and 95 Nm (70 lb-ft) of torque provides the driving force.

If you want to transport a higher load, the more powerful turbocharged 1.0-liter three-pot engine with 99 hp and 172 Nm (127 lb-ft) of torque is the best option. Both motors use a four-speed automatic gearbox to transfer power to the front wheels.

You'll get a little commercial truck with 15-inch steel wheels and six airbags, as well as heated and automatic folding mirrors. Hyundai includes manual driver seat adjustment, rear parking sensors, and a classic foot-operated parking brake. Even if the Casper Van is a budget vehicle, it has a wide range of advanced safety features, including lane-keeping assist and a driver assistance system.

It also incorporates cruise control, as well as front collision warning and high-beam assist. Standard features include LED daytime running lights, an adjustable steering wheel, and a slew of USB ports. South Korea's Hyundai Casper Van went on sale today. The Casper Van is the cheapest variant of the small crossover, with a starting price of $11,400 at current currency rates.
