Hummer EV Goes Full Beast Mode With 1,160 HP And New Carbon Fiber Edition

GMC’s monster electric truck isn’t slowing down anytime soon. For 2026, the Hummer EV lineup gets a handful of upgrades, and it’s clear the brand’s aiming to keep this electric brute fresh in a growing field of big-name rivals.
The star of the show is the new Carbon Fiber Edition, available for both SUV and pickup models. It builds on the top-dog 3X trim and takes things up a notch. Thanks to revised powertrain software and a few hardware tweaks, the pickup can now rocket from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds. With power now bumped up to 1,160 hp, this thing is officially absurd.

Visually, it’s a looker. Take, for example, the matte Magnus Gray paint, carbon fiber 22-inch wheels, blacked-out trim, and carbon detailing on the mirrors and skid plates. Inside, you’ll find the bold Velocity Ember interior, with rich materials and contrast accents.
Beyond the Carbon Fiber Edition, GMC is giving the rest of the 2026 lineup a small makeover too. Two new colors—Coastal Dune and Auburn Matte—join the palette, along with a pair of interior themes called Granite Drift and Stealth Eclipse. No drastic body redesigns here, just subtle tweaks.

Inside, there’s a new customizable split-screen layout for the 13.4-inch infotainment system, letting you juggle maps, media, and stats without flipping back and forth. Super Cruise also sees an update, though GMC is keeping those changes under wraps for now.
Then there’s the new "King Crab" mode. It cranks up the rear-wheel steering speed, giving the Hummer even more off-road maneuverability. It’s now standard on 2X and 3X trims and will roll out to all Hummer EVs via an over-the-air update later this year.

GMC has also retuned the dampers for better ride comfort. In a move that’s both smart and timely, every Hummer now supports bidirectional charging, so you can power another EV or even keep your house running during a blackout.
The updated Hummer EV lineup will land in U.S. dealerships later this year. Pricing and official range estimates are still under wraps but should drop sometime in late summer.

The 2026 Hummer EV isn’t reinventing itself, but it’s doubling down on what people already love: crazy power, bold looks, and real utility
