How A Piece Of Lace Inspired The World’s Most Elegant Rolls-Royce Phantom

Some gifts are unforgettable, and this Rolls-Royce Phantom is one of them. Commissioned by a client in Dubai as a tribute to his father, the one-off Phantom Dentelle turns an ordinary luxury car into something deeply personal. What makes it truly unique is its unexpected inspiration: a delicate piece of lace.
While the exterior looks calm and elegant, as you’d expect from a Rolls, it’s the interior that quietly steals the show.

The dashboard is decorated with a stunning embroidery made up of more than 160,000 stitches, forming an intricate pattern of flowers. The same floral design continues between the rear seats, where another 70,000 stitches add a sense of graceful detail to the space known as the “Waterfall.”

The cabin uses a thoughtful blend of Sunrise and Grace White leathers, Piano White trim, and Rose Gold speaker grilles. Even the seats and finishes have been chosen to reflect a sense of soft elegance, more like a couture atelier than a car interior.

On the exterior, this Rolls-Royce Phantom is finished in soft hues like Crystal over Arctic White on the lower body and Crystal over Palais Nemasker Dawn on top. The 22-inch polished disc wheels feature white center pinstripes, while the Spirit of Ecstasy and grille are also finished in Rose Gold to match the warm interior.

Michelle Lusby from Rolls-Royce’s Private Office in Dubai explained that inspiration can come from anywhere. In this case, it came from the craftsmanship of handmade lace, something often seen in high fashion. According to her, clients continue to surprise them with imaginative ideas, even after decades of bespoke commissions.

If you ever dream of creating your own custom Rolls-Royce, there are Private Offices around the world, including in Dubai, Shanghai, Seoul, New York, and the UK. These are places where luxury becomes personal and where a car can turn into a meaningful piece of art.
