Hertz Is Adding One of the Coolest Off-Road SUVs to Its U.S. Fleet

Hertz is about to add something genuinely different to its U.S. fleet. Instead of another crossover or electric sedan, it is bringing in the Ineos Grenadier. The SUV will be available at select airports across the country starting this spring.
Hertz has experimented with fun cars before. Models like the Shelby Mustang, Jaguar F-Type, and Nissan GT-R have appeared in limited numbers, and some locations still offer the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. But the Grenadier takes things in a different direction. It is more purpose-built and leans harder into proper off-road capability.

According to Hertz, the move is part of a broader push to offer more interesting and higher-quality options. The idea is to give customers access to vehicles that feel a bit more special, something that can make the trip itself more memorable.
That lines up with the Grenadier pretty well, as it is one of those vehicles most people are curious about but may never actually own.

For Ineos Automotive, the partnership is also a big step. Getting the Grenadier into rental fleets means more people can experience it firsthand, which helps build awareness as the brand continues to grow in North America.
Worth noting, Hertz had recently pulled back on expanding its lineup, so this move stands out a bit. It is not about adding more cars but adding something different.
