Here’s the Latest Innovation from Volvo – Autonomous Driving!

The SD (self-driving) cars are considered an obvious technological advancement of the future. However, the actual issue now is the exact way that the driver is going to interact with the SD card. This is why Volvo is working and testing the so-called Self Driving Interface.

The IntelliSafe Auto Pilot from Volvo uses paddles on the steering wheel to turn the autonomous mode on and off. To turn it on, the driver has to simply pull both handles but if the autonomous driving is not available in some situations and locations, the car will warn the driver to take over and if the driver fails to comply, the car will find a safe spot and stop.

According to Volvo, this user interface is safe and easy to use. They will install the IntelliSafe technology on XC90 models in an initiative called Drive Me, which will take place in Sweden in 2017.

The Drive Me project is a way for regular people to test the technology before implementing in on a large scale.
