Here Is The New 2023 Mazda CX-50, Designed For Adventure

As part of yesterday's virtual event, the new 2023 Mazda CX-50 was unveiled. According to the business, the crossover will not replace the CX-5, but it is expected to sell 150,000 units per year. It will compete against a slew of popular compact crossovers, including the Toyota Rav4, Nissan Rogue Sport, and others.

With a standard all-wheel drive and a car that's purpose-built for adventure enthusiasts, the 2023 Mazda CX-50 takes a striking off-road bent. The new model spent most of the presentation video in the woods, on dirt, or in the snow.

According to Dave Coleman, head engineer, the drive modes are responsible for the off-road performance. Since Mazda discovered that having too many off-road driving modes was misleading customers, the 2023 Mazda CX-50 is relatively better and more adventurous.

Driving becomes more "precise, natural, and intuitive," according to Coleman. It improves the owner's driving skills and increases the comfort of the occupants. The new Mi-Driving drive mode choice system will aid in here, with Coleman emphasizing that the CX-50 will still feel like a Mazda regardless of mode.

G-Vectoring Control, which is excellent for quick cornering, is also useful for towing when the weight is all in the back. Controls for hill-hold and hill-descent are both basic. Turbo and non-turbo 2.5-liter four-cylinder motors, as well as a hybrid, will be available. Mazda did not provide any details on the electric version but stated that additional information will be available soon. Also, the carmaker didn't provide us with any horsepower figures for the new 2023 Mazda CX-50.

The pricing will be revealed at a later date. In the end, it's difficult to overestimate the American need for crossovers.
