Flexing its tuning muscles once again, Texas-based Hennessey Performance unveils its latest feat of automotive alchemy: the H850, an amplified version of the 2024 Mustang Dark Horse. With a staggering 850 horsepower (633 kW) on tap, this stallion is more than just a supercharged powerhouse—it’s a finely tuned machine, complete with modifications and a comprehensive warranty.

Straight out of the factory, the S650 Mustang Dark Horse, Ford’s newest marvel, hits the ground running with a robust 500-hp (372 kW) 5.0-liter Coyote V8 from the fourth generation. Customers can choose their ride with either a Tremec six-speed manual transmission or Ford’s 10-speed automatic, both options accompanied by high-performance Brembo brakes. But that’s merely the starting point for the H850.

Hennessey then ups the ante, adding a supercharger and a high-flow intake system, along with enhanced fuel injectors and an upgraded fuel pump. These hardware changes are fine-tuned through HPE Engine Management software, resulting in a final output of 850 hp and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque.

John Hennessey, the founder and CEO, shares his enthusiasm for this latest creation. He says, “Our supercharged Mustang builds have consistently won customers’ hearts over the years. With Ford’s advanced S650 platform, we’ve created our most capable Mustang yet. Our supercharged 850 horsepower Dark Horse model will undoubtedly be one of the most exhilarating and potent muscle cars on the road. Its distinctive supercharger wail and exhaust note are sure to make heads turn.”

The Mustang H850 is more than just an auditory experience, though. It also boasts a slew of striking exterior modifications including forged aluminum wheels, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, side skirts, and front splitter, all destined to make it stand out even further.

As of now, Hennessey has not released the price for this beast but has confirmed that its regular warranty policy applies. This includes three years or 36,000 miles of limited warranty coverage. The production of the H850 is set to commence in the last quarter of this year.
