Hennessey Unveils 850-Horsepower Upgrade For Cadillac Escalade-V

The Cadillac Escalade-V already boasts an incredible 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque, but that wasn't fast enough for Hennessey Performance, so they introduced the H850 package to make it even faster.

Hennessey added a new air induction system, an improved supercharger, high-flow cylinder heads, a bespoke camshaft, an improved throttle body, and new intake and exhaust valves to increase performance.

Hennessey fine-tuned the Escalade-V's electronic control unit to produce 850 horsepower at 6,200 rpm and 855 lb-ft of torque at 4,600 rpm. Hennessey has yet to release the highest speed and acceleration ratings for the Escalade-V with the H850 option. Instead, the tuner races a stock Ram 1500 TRX, which it comfortably defeats because of its increased horsepower.

Considering the TRX can accelerate to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and complete the quarter mile in 12.3 seconds, it is very remarkable. The H850 package, along with all the tuner's improvements, comes with a 3-year/36k-mile limited warranty.

“Extreme-performance SUVs are one of my favorite types of vehicles to drive; their sleeper status is such a great contrast to their supercar-like performance,” stated John Hennessey. “Our 850-horsepower version of the Escalade-V brings heaps of performance to this luxury full-size SUV, doing the GM supercharged V8 engine justice. We’re only making 100 of these H850 models, so they’re sure to be exclusive,” he added.

For every H850, Hennessey will provide unique badging and an engine plaque with a serial number. Wheels in polished silver or gloss black (22 inches) are also available as an alternative. At this time, the kit's price is unknown.
