Last November, Hennessey introduced a V8-powered Ford Bronco with 750 hp (559 kW / 760 PS), but the model's $225,000 price tag placed it out of most people's budget. The carmaker is now coming up with VelociRaptor 400, a cheaper model. For 2021, production will be fixed to 200 units, increasing to 250 units the following year.

Velociraptor 400 has a 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with a high-flow air induction system, redesigned exhaust, and updated engine management tools. The output rises from 330 hp (246 kW / 335 PS) and 415 lb-ft (563 Nm) of torque to 405 hp (302 kW / 411 PS) and 503 lb-ft (563 Nm) of torque as a result of these adjustments (682 Nm).

This translates to 75 hp (56 kW / 76 PS) and 88 lb-ft (119 Nm) of torque. It allows the model to go from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 96 kmph) in 4.9 secs, which isn't much lower than the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392.

Aside from the performance enhancements, VelociRaptor 400 features heavy bumpers, retractable side steps, and 18-inch wheels with 35-inch off-roading tires. LED auxiliary lighting, stitched headrests, individually numbered plaques, and special branding round out the features.

With or without a soft top, the car will be available in two- or four-door versions. VelociRaptor 400 kit costs $24,950 and is presently available for order. When the base cost of the Bronco Wildtrak is taken into account, owners can expect to pay roughly $80,000.

2021 VelociRaptor 400 keeps all of the regular "engine modes and off-road systems," according to Hennessey. A three-year/36,000-mile warranty is also available from the firm.
