Goodwood, Are You Ready For 2022 Genesis G70 Shooting Brake?

We’ve seen the 2022 Genesis G70 Shooting Brake in May for the first time and we have all been waiting for some extra news. The day has come, as Goodwood 2021 Festival of Speed will be hosting the premiere of the long-awaited car. But that’s not all - 2022 Genesis G70 Shooting Brake will be joined by the electric concept Genesis X, formerly revealed in March this year.

July 8, 2021, promises to be a hot day since both Hyundai’s luxury brand’s vehicles will be officially presented at the British festival. According to Dominique Boesch, managing director at Genesis Motor Europe, honoring this region is especially important to the carmaker, as it acknowledges Europe’s automotive patrimony in terms of quintessential design. 

And it all makes sense, as the 2022 Genesis G70 Shooting Brake is an elegant four-doors sedan, with a sporty air, and some exquisite extra comfort for the passengers. This is not what you’d expect from a traditional two-door shooting brake but, boy, do we like it!

No information on the car’s performance has been announced. Rumors say it will not be extremely different from the current G70 sedan but who minds, right? With all the crossovers and SUVs around us, an elegant station wagon is a breath of fresh air. Should BMW, Mercedes-Benz, or Audi feel threatened?
