Get Ready To Roll: The 2025 Ford Bronco Embraces Nostalgia With The Free Wheeling Package

The vibrant stripes first spotted on a Ford Bronco Sport in 2023 are making a comeback, but this time they're dressing up the larger Bronco with the new Free Wheeling package. This design pays homage to the classic Free Wheeling package that adorned various models, like the Broncos, F-Series trucks, and even Econoline vans back in the late '70s.

But the Free Wheeling package isn’t just about colorful stripes; it also brings some exciting features. You’ll find a sleek silver grille, bold black 17-inch steel wheels, and matching interior trim that mirrors the eye-catching red-orange-yellow gradient stripes on the outside.

If you opt for the Sasquatch package, you can swap out the steel wheels for stylish black aluminum ones with striking red accents on the machined edges. There’s also a choice between a black premium removable roof, a standard soft top, or an optional rigid top for that extra versatility. Steve Gilmore, Ford’s chief engineer for vehicle personalization, describes the Bronco spirit perfectly, saying, “Bronco has always been about fun and capability since day one, and Free Wheeling’s looks kick that up a notch with its sunset-inspired beach vibes.”

He highlights that Ford has modernized the new Free Wheeling package to match current fashion trends, incorporating seats that mirror the exterior stripes and distinctive pops of color that foster an upbeat, optimistic atmosphere. If you're dreaming of a Free Wheeling Bronco, you'll need to aim for the entry-level Big Bend trim. Ford hasn’t specified any exterior color restrictions, so with a palette of ten choices, it’s possible to create a striking Velocity Blue Bronco decked out in red, orange, and yellow stripes.

However, buyers can choose among options like gray, white, or black. The anticipation is building for the configurator to go live, and we’re eager to see how these combinations turn out. Ford has announced that the 2025 Bronco, featuring this nostalgic Free Wheeling look, will be available by the end of January, and it’s sure to turn heads on and off the road.
