McLaren celebrates the 50th edition of the Can-Am race by launching a special edition 650S Spider. Can you guess how many copies they will produce? Yep -only 50!
McLaren has a sweet spot when it comes to the Can-Am championship, they won the title for 5 consecutive years from 1967 to '71. In order to celebrate the golden age, their Special Operations created 50 special editions cars.
The original cars were using the latest technologies and materials and that helped them win, but the current Special Edition cars will use carbon-fiber hard top and hood, airbrake, front splitter, door blades, and rear bumper. The alloy wheels are inspired by the race cars of the '60s and have gloss-black spokes, diamond-cut rims and titanium bolts.
The 650S Can-Am will come available in Mars Red, and later in Papaya Spark and Onyx Black.
Other exclusive features on this supercar are carbon fiber front wings and a 4-exits stainless-steel exhaust. The price for this special beauty starts at 255,850.
