Honda has just presented the third-generation Freed, scheduled to debut in June 2024. For starters, Honda offers a choice of gasoline and self-charging hybrid (e:HEV) powertrains for the minivan, available in both the regular Air and rugged Crosstar variants.

Thanks to its bigger greenhouse, less crowded front and back ends, and horizontal lines on the profile, the Honda Freed now seems cleaner and friendlier than before. The Freed Crosstar has several SUV-style features, such as a new grille, beefier bumpers, roof rails, plastic fender extensions, and new alloy wheels.

It also has some aluminum-style components. The dimensions of the latest model are 4,310 mm (169.7 in) in length, 1,695 mm (66.7 in) in width, and 1,755 mm (69.1 in) in height, with a wheelbase of 2,740 mm (107.9 in). This results in a length increase of 45 mm (1.8 inches) over its predecessor, while maintaining the same wheelbase. With its traditional six-seater configuration and lighter, easier-to-operate third-row flip-up, the interior is sure to please.

You can also get the Freed Crosstar in a standard two-row layout that seats five people. The seat upholstery of both models is resistant to stains and scratches. A more capacious standalone infotainment screen and a more compact digital instrument cluster, both placed closer to the driver, characterize the revamped cockpit. Moreover, the 2024 Honda Freed has increased the size of the dashboard tray and installed temperature vents on top of the vehicle for the convenience of backseat passengers.

The new 2024 Honda Freed continues to offer gas and hybrid powertrains in both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. Improved performance and fuel economy will be yours with the new e:HEV system, which combines the 1.5-liter engine with two electric motors. In contrast, the base 2024 Honda Freed will be equipped with a continuously variable transmission and a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder gasoline engine. As we get closer to the new Honda Freed Air and Freed Crosstar's Japanese market introduction, we will disclose the exact cost and specs.
