Hankook Koreans are closer to the moment when they announce the first production Hankook tires without air, the iFlex!

According to automarket.ro,  tire manufacturers are promising for future cars, tires requiring no air.  It is known that several world-renowned manufacturers are working on developing this revolutionary type of tire, Michelin and the French are the most advanced. Their tire called Tweel is already in production, they are dedicated exclusively to only commercial vehicles.

Bridgestone in turn developed a similar tire and the manufacturer of the ATVs Polaris team is studying the possibility of their vehicles off-road tires that do not require such pressure.

But today, talk about Hankook, the South Korean tire manufacturer who flirts a while with the idea of such a tire and the first concept presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2013. Since that futuristic concept iFlex of Hankook tire evolved substantially and today is close to production.

The latest statement released by the company Hankook says it has conducted a range of tests with the new street tire without air but gives no specific details. Tests were concentrated in five areas: endurance, durability, stability, and speed slalom. Hankook says that an electric-powered car equipped with tires iFlex reached a maximum speed of 130 km / h and the results of all tests are impressive. The new Hankook iFlex concept uses a new material that is environmentally friendly. This change facilitates the production process has been reduced to four steps instead of eight as were previously required and increase the possibility of airless tire recycling! The future is closer!
