Genesis Drops Two Jaw-Dropping Concept Cars At Seoul Mobility Show

Genesis rolled into the Seoul Mobility Show and casually dropped two of the coolest concept cars we’ve seen in a while—the X Gran Coupe Concept and the X Gran Convertible Concept. And while they might look like full-on super-luxury dreams, they’re actually based on the G90 sedan. Just… with two doors, wild bodywork, and way more attitude.
From the front, both cars rock Genesis’ signature Two-Line headlight design, plus some seriously pretty 3D grilles that give off big concept car energy—but in a good way. The whole design screams “athletic elegance,” which is something Genesis has been pushing hard lately. Honestly, if these were real production models, they’d probably sell like crazy. Sadly, Genesis hasn’t said anything about putting either of them into production. Boo.

Compared to the regular Genesis G90, the Coupe and Convertible look way more dramatic. Lower rooflines, sharply raked windshields, extra-wide fenders, stretched beltlines—it’s all dialed up to 11. The wheels are stunning, and the rear ends are finished off with full-width twin LED light bars and rectangular tailpipes.

Inside, things get even wilder. The Genesis G90 Coupe's interior goes full luxury-meets-nature, blending green and brown leather inspired by Mediterranean olive trees. You get olive leaf details across the doors, plus some of the most intricate stitching we’ve seen in a while. Meanwhile, the Convertible's cabin takes a totally different approach—it’s wrapped in deep blue tones inspired by the grapes used in Cabernet Sauvignon. If nothing else, Genesis definitely knows how to make a statement with color.

Both cabins stick with the G90’s steering wheel design, but with a little twist: there's now a third spoke added, which gives it a more traditional look without totally killing the concept-car vibe.

Genesis’ global boss, Mike Song, summed it up nicely: “In the 10 years since our launch, Genesis has been dedicated to delivering its unique values to more than 1.3 million customers worldwide. We aim to seize this opportunity as a launchpad for a new decade, showcasing models that embody Genesis’ pursuit of high-performance technology and future luxury design.”
