While the BMW 8 Series was a huge market hit, it was just a matter of time until some amateur would try and create something more extravagant and classy out of it. The designer wanted to create a concept that would have a different philosophy from the regular BMWs but keep the BMW classical lines present. Meet the new beauty - BMW M9 Radion Concept by Razvan Radion, a young designer who had the courage to bring a fresh view over a BMW coupe.

I have tried to create a concept with a slightly different philosophy than the current BMW design,” said Razvan Radion. The designer is a true amateur at creating car designs and for this one, he used references from the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. This is an independently styled car with clear reminiscences of the current BMW design -especially in the front end, which has a face similar to the i8.

Other modifications were listed by Razvan on his Behance account as following. "I have chosen not to cut the ceiling of the previous M9 concept. Probably would have been too easy and ordinary and devoid of ideas. It has remained the same chassis and proportions. Trying a different approach on surfaces of the body. probably closer to the BMW models from these days. HDRI used on the first four renders are from the guys from SMCars, and I would like to thank them for that".

All the work led to the BMW M9 Radion Concept, which offers the feeling of a fine coupe, with beautiful proportions and a somehow different design from what we are used to. Imagine a designer that does not use any drawings before developing the concept. Razvan Radion should go a little easier on himself– the BMW M9 Concept is stunning.
