THE 2025 Ford Mustang GTD Debuts At $327,960—And It’s Worth Every Penny

Ford is getting ready to launch the 2025 Mustang GTD, and it comes with a jaw-dropping price tag—$327,960. That’s higher than Ford originally estimated when it first teased the car nearly two years ago.
The figure includes a $5,500 destination charge and a $3,700 gas guzzler tax, which makes sense for a car rated at just 12 mpg combined.

This Mustang is a street-legal version of Ford’s GT3 race car, packing an 815-horsepower supercharged 5.2-liter V8, 664 lb-ft of torque, and serious motorsport hardware. That includes rear inboard pushrod suspension you can see through the rear window, a carbon-fiber driveshaft, and an eight-speed dual-clutch transaxle gearbox.

Thanks to all the carbon fiber, the car has near-perfect 50/50 weight distribution. Inside, it's race-inspired but still premium, with a mix of suede, leather, and carbon fiber. An optional package adds titanium shift paddles and a matching shifter.

How high the price can go is still unclear, especially with Ford offering exclusive exterior colors and a limited production run. One thing's for sure: this is the most expensive—and extreme—Mustang ever made.
