Ford Bronco Lineup For 2022 Offers A Wildtrak Soft-Top Version

The worldwide semiconductor chip shortage has caused delays in Ford Bronco deliveries, impacting even German automakers that had large stocks of the chips not long time ago. Despite this, the Bronco remains a popular commodity, with everyone wanting to own the sleek classic off-roader.

While some Bronco owners are still waiting for their vehicles, Ford must move on to the following model year, and according to new sources from Bronco Nation, the 2022 model will see major changes, most prominently to the top Wildtrak option. The most costly model for 2021 was the First Edition, which is now sold out.

So, what's new this time? In an evident effort to decrease complexity and remove restrictions, the four-door Wildtrak will now come standard with a canvas soft top. The more-door Wildtrak will still come with a hardtop prep pack, which is now extra.

The two-door Wildtrak will keep its molded-in-color hardtop, which is being rebuilt in response to several quality concerns from clients who saw irregularities on the roof after it was exposed to harsh conditions and humidity.
Nothing has been confirmed about the cost of the now-optional roof on the four-door Wildtrak, but we hope to hear more once additional facts for the 2022 model year are released.

Meanwhile, we also know that the Black Diamond and Badlands models will receive a new front bumper as a standard feature, replacing the present heavy-duty modular bumper. This bumper is dubbed the "capable bumper" by Ford, and we're hoping it lives up to its moniker. Because it's made of powder-coated steel and has brush guard support, a winch location, steel bash plates, recovery hooks, and fog lights, it really should.
If you want one but can't obtain one of the Black Diamond or Badlands editions, it'll be available throughout the lineup in 2022.
