The One Of A Kind Ferruccio Lamborghini Countach Is Irreplaceable

Ferruccio Lamborghini initially opposed the idea of producing mid-engine supercars, but later changed his mind. He kept his Miura even after quitting his company in 1974, and in 1980, he purchased a Lamborghini Countach. That Countach hasn't been seen publicly a long time, and Lamborghini specialist Iain Tyrrell just released a video on making it safe to drive.

Beyond its history, the automobile is a particularly exciting Countach. One of the few Countach variants to combine the original Countach's low roof with the broad fender flares and large tires of later generations, this 1980 model is a Countach S.

The car was given to Ferruccio after a buyer backed out, and he leaped at the chance to have it painted white instead of red as originally ordered. After Ferruccio's death, the Countach remained in the family before being purchased by a new owner.

As a precaution, the new owner requested that Tyrrell put the car through a rigorous road test. Later, Tyrrell and his team repaired a door latch, flushed the clutch fluid, and restored some damaged tie rods, and the car drove like new again. The 4.0-liter V-12 has been opened up by Tyrrell despite its high value and impeccable provenance, and it sounds fantastic.
