Ferrari Goes Electric: First EV Powertrain Reveal Set For October 2025
by AutoExpert | 7 May, 2025
Ferrari is officially preparing to enter the electric age, and the anticipation around its first EV is building fast. According to the latest info, the Italian carmaker will reveal its upcoming electric model in three stages, starting in the fall of 2025.
The first reveal is set for October 2025 during Ferrari’s Capital Markets Day, where the company will present what it calls the “technological heart” of the vehicle—its all-electric powertrain. That alone is a big deal, considering Ferrari is a brand practically defined by its roaring V8 and V12 engines.
In early 2026, Ferrari will show off the interior of the new model, with the full unveiling (including exterior design and final specs) coming in spring. Deliveries are expected to start by October 2026.
Ferrari hasn’t confirmed what type of EV this will be. It could be a sleek, low-slung supercar or a high-performance SUV. Rumors are leaning toward the latter, especially since test mules have been spotted using Maserati Levante bodies, and the Purosangue SUV has proven there’s strong demand for that kind of Ferrari.
The new model will be built at a brand-new, 42,500-square-meter facility in Maranello, created specifically to support Ferrari’s move into electric mobility.
