Ferrari Reveals Track-Inspired 296 Speciale For Piloti Ferrari Owners Only

Ferrari took the spotlight at the 24 Hours of Le Mans to reveal something truly special: a new 296 Speciale with the ultra-exclusive Piloti Ferrari configuration. This isn’t a car just anyone can order—it’s reserved for those directly involved in Ferrari’s official motorsport programs, whether professionally or as part of the brand’s non-competitive racing activities.

Inspired by the 499P race car that took back-to-back wins at Le Mans in 2023 and 2024, the Piloti Ferrari version pays tribute to that racing legacy through design.

Buyers can choose from four bold colors: Rosso Scuderia, Blu Tour De France, Nero Daytona, or Argento Nürburgring, all paired with a motorsport livery that includes Giallo Modena accents, a hand-painted WEC logo, and an Italian flag graphic on the front bumper. Owners also get to personalize the car with a custom racing number.

Inside, and the racing theme continues. Black Alcantara seats come trimmed in the same fire-resistant fabric used in real race suits, and details like a carbon-fiber plaque, unique sill plates, metal floor inserts, and a steering wheel with Italian flag touches help make the car feel like it belongs on a circuit.

Mechanically, the Piloti Ferrari remains as potent as the standard 296 Speciale. Its plug-in hybrid system combines a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with an electric motor for a total output of 868 horsepower. That’s enough to launch the car from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed beyond 205 mph. It also offers up to 15 miles of electric-only driving.
