Ferrari Mechanic Busted Just Like Al Capone!

An exotic car mechanic from Michigan was sentenced to 2 years in prison for selling one of the rarest engines in the world: the Ferrari Lampredi. The engine was manufactured in a collaboration of Enzo Ferrari and Aurelio Lampredi between 1951 and 1957 and only a few of them have been built.
Terry Myr is 71 years old and used to work in a shop that repaired exotic cars. Somehow he managed to obtain this ultra-rare engine and sold it for a whopping $610k. Nothing wrong so far you say. Here is how he got in trouble. He asked the buyer to privately transfer the money to a secret bank account he created for this purpose. In other words, he was charged with tax evasion. Just like "his fellow in crime" Al Capone.
Moreover, the prosecutors discovered he evaded paying taxes on $738K over the last 10 years.
The most probable reason why he got caught, is that immediately after he received the money, he started to buy big quantities of silver and gold coins ($400,000 worth) which raised some red flags.
