Here we go again; a brand-new automaker unveils a totally electric hypercar. Farnova's Othello sports a stated 1,350 kW (1,835 PS) and was unveiled as a prototype. With a price tag of 1.86 million yuan ($287,578), Farnova Automotive, which was launched in 2019, plans to produce 200 units of the Othello starting next year.

Farnova Othello is built on the chassis of the Qiantu K50 sports vehicle, thanks to a deal between Farnova Automotive and Qiantu Motors, which was in financial trouble. Even though both models have the same underpinnings, they are very different in terms of appearance and performance.

Two electric motors on Farnova Othello provide a combined 1,810-hp (1,350 kW/ 1,835 PS) and a huge 12,000 lb-ft of torque (8,851 lb-ft). It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.8 seconds, 300 km/h (186 mph) in 8.5 seconds and a max speed of 420 km/h (261 mph). Sweden-based Northvolt supplied the 75 kWh battery, which has an optimistic quoted range of 600 km (311 miles).

Sharp creases in the bodywork, gullwing doors, flying buttresses, and a retractable roof-mounted aerobrake distinguish the full-scale prototype. The hypercar is 4,670 mm (183.9 inches) long, 2,080 mm (81.9 inches) wide, and 1,145 mm (45.1 inches) height, with a curb weight of 1,350 kg (2,976 lbs), according to Car News China.

Starting in 2022, only 200 Othello models will be made in Changde at a new plant. Farnova has great goals for its automotive industry in addition to the hypercar. An electric bus supposedly developed by a former Lamborghini chief designer has been displayed in photos, and starting in 2023, electric SUVs, crossovers, and sedans will be rolled out.
