It's a bittersweet moment for automotive enthusiasts as the last Chrysler 300C, equipped with the legendary Hemi V8, bids adieu to the assembly line. This remarkable event marks the end of the special-edition series, an icon in Chrysler's lineup.

For nearly ten years, the Chrysler 300 has been a stalwart in the market, first introduced in its latest avatar in 2014. The recent termination of the 300C's production is a significant milestone, celebrated by the Brampton Assembly workforce with a special Velvet Red sedan.

Alex Pittas, the plant manager, expressed pride in his team's commitment to quality. "Every one of the 2,200 units produced in 2023 is a testament to our dedication," he remarked.

The 2022 reintroduction of this special-edition sedan was a nod to the classic 1957 300C. That original beast boasted a 392-cubic-inch HEMI V8, churning out 375 hp. Fast forward to 65 years later, the new 300C model has upped the ante with a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine, delivering a robust 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. This powerhouse propels the car from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 4.3 seconds.

But it's not just about raw power. The 300C also features red Brembo brakes, a 3.09 limited slip differential, active damping suspension, and an active exhaust system with a black tip. The exterior is adorned with a tricolour 300C badge, encapsulating its heritage and performance.

The model's popularity was undeniable, with all 2,200 units (including 2,000 for the U.S. and 200 for Canada) being snapped up within 12 hours of release.

As Chrysler and its parent company Stellantis pivot towards an electrified future, the Chrysler 300, along with its Dodge counterparts, will be phased out. However, there's a glimmer of hope for the model's legacy. CEO Chris Feuell hints at the possibility of an electric sedan in the future, potentially continuing the 300's lineage.
