Hyundai has finally unveiled the facelifted Creta at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show after months of rumors and leaks. The new 2022 Hyundai Creta B-SUV features a slew of cosmetic and technological upgrades.

The second-generation vehicle was expected to be revealed in 2019, however, Hyundai opted for an early makeover with Tucson-inspired styling and innovation.

With a wheelbase of 2,610 mm (102.8 inches), the facelifted 2022 Hyundai Creta is 4,315 mm (169.9 inches) long, 1,790 mm (70.5 inches) wide, and 1,630 mm (64.2 inches) tall. This puts it ahead of the Venue, Bayon, and Kona in terms of size among Hyundai's B-SUV lineup.

The "Parametric Jewel" grille with buried LED DRLs, identical to the one seen on the Tucson C-SUV and the Santa Cruz pickup, has been added to the front end of the vehicle. The bumper has also been completely reworked, with the main headlamps and a large lower intake encircled by silver trim.

Excluding the 17-inch wheels, the 2022 Hyundai Creta's profile is nearly identical, with slight tweaks to the LED taillights and rear bumper. There are four trim options for the Creta: Active, Trend, Style, and Prime. With a base 8-inch infotainment touchscreen and an additional 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster that adjusts graphics according to the chosen driving mode, the revamped dash appears similar to the Tucson.

Automatic climate control with vents for all passengers, a large panoramic sunroof, an 8-speaker BOSE Premium Sound System, leather upholstery, vented front seats, air purification system, lighting effects, front and rear USB ports, and a wireless charging pad are among the features available, based on the trim.

There is seating for up to five people within the cabin, as well as 416 lt (14.7 cubic feet) of cargo space that can be expanded to 1,384 lt (48.9 cubic feet) when the rear seats are folded. There are up to six airbags, and the ADAS package includes Forward, Blind Spot, and Rear-Cross Traffic Collision-avoidance Assist, Hill-start Assist, Safe Exit Warning, and Lane Keeping Assist in the top trim level.

2022 Hyundai Creta

A 1.5-liter Smartstream MPI petrol engine with natural aspiration produces 113 horsepower (84 kW / 115 PS) and 144 Nm (106 lb-ft) of torque under the hood. A six-speed manual transmission or Hyundai's Intelligent Variable Transmission sends power to the front wheels.

There is already a facelifted 2022 Hyundai Creta on the market in Indonesia, where it is also built. As with its predecessor, which was offered in China, India, Russia, Brazil, and Mexico, we expect new markets to follow in the coming months.
