In September, Tesla Model 3 overtook the Volkswagen Golf as Europe's best-selling vehicle for the first time. As a result of its performance, Tesla today has a 24 % market share in the EV market. Respectively, the Volkswagen Group has a 22% market share, Stellantis has a 13% share, and Hyundai-Kia has a market share of about 11%.

On the other hand, the best-selling automobiles in Europe in June 2021 are as follows:

Tesla Model 3

1. Tesla Model 3: In September, Tesla sold 24,591 Model 3s, up 58% from the same month last year, pushing the Volkswagen Golf off the 1 place.

Renault Clio

2. Renault Clio: Despite a 23 % year-on-year dip, the Clio reclaims second place with 18,264 units sold in September of this year.

Dacia Sandero

3. Dacia Sandero: Despite a recent price rise, the Dacia Sandero remains the cheapest car in the United Kingdom. It runs on the same fundamental foundation as the newest Clio, and its low price has undoubtedly contributed to its astronomical success.

Volkswagen Golf

4. Volkswagen Golf: The Volkswagen Golf fell three positions in September, with the Tesla Model 3 snatching the coveted top spot from the German family car. With newly upgraded variations such as the GTI Clubsport and R, the Golf has always been one of the region's best-sellers and is set to remain so.

Fiat 500

5. Fiat 500: In September, Fiat's ever-popular 500 sold 16,349 units across Europe, with the new all-electric edition leading the way.

Vauxhall/Opel Corsa

6. Vauxhall/Opel Corsa: The Corsa saw a 41% reduction in sales compared to this time last year, with 15,502 cars sold. But it's not all terrible, as the model returns to the top 10 after a month away.

Peugeot 2008

7. Peugeot 2008: With 14,931 sales this month, Peugeot 2008 re-enters the top ten. The sleek model has always been among the top ten best-selling models, and it has surpassed SUV rivals this month.

Hyundai Tucson

8. Hyundai Tucson: The new Hyundai Tucson is the Korean automaker's best-selling model in Europe, and it's no surprise that it's remained in the top 10 since its launch, thanks to its distinctive style and an unusually broad range of powertrain options.

Peugeot 208

9. Peugeot 208: Despite a 31% reduction in sales from September 2020, the Peugeot 208 was back in the top ten in September.

Renault Captur

10. Renault Captur: The Renault Captur returns to the top 10 this month, thanks to the introduction of an E-Tech hybrid powertrain and sales of 13,715 units.
