DM Blade - supercar built with a 3D printer (VIDEO)

A start-up in San Francisco, wants to revolutionize the way supercars are built and the prototype called the Blade is the first proof.
DM Blade is the first supercar name printed on a 3D printer. At least that says the Ddivergence Microfactories that will revolutionize the way they are built supercars of the future.
Is not the first time we hear about a car made with a 3D printer, but - unlike the Local Motors Strati, which is the electric town car - theirs is about a supercar. Specifically, DM Blade weighs around 630 kg and has an engine that develops 700 hp and works on petrol and compressed natural gas.
To reach so low weight, people from Divergent Microfactories thought an underframe that uses a combination of aluminum and carbon fiber, but not just any frame, but one that can be disassembled and fit into a medium-sized travel bag.
Specifically, the structure is composed of several links made of aluminum printing in 3D, called "Nodes" (nodes), and between them are mounted carbon fiber rods extremely strong.
Once is ready assembling, the operation takes around 30 minutes are mounted other components - engine, transmission, and body.
