Dallara EXP Comes With A Downforce Of 2.755 lbs And 493 HP Onboard

Stradale has just received a track-only sibling – Dallara EXP – coming with impressive performance figures and a carbon-fiber-based design.

Dallara EXP is based on the carbon-fiber Stradale monocoque. Nevertheless, the creators have added lots of improvements, like a bigger rear wing, new canards on the front fascia, and a much more enhanced splitter. According to the motorsport company, the delivered downforce promises to reach 1.249 kg (2.755 lbs) at the top speed of 290 km/h (180 mph). When you think that the entire Dallara EXP weighs 890 kg (1990 lbs), these figures become even more impressive. 

The track-only EXP is running on a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder turbocharged engine, the same as Stradale and Ford Focus RS. But its capacities are far from being the same since Bosch has tweaked it into delivering 493 hp and 700 Nm of torque. The engine is teamed up with a six-speed sequential transmission, which, alongside a Quaife limited-slip, helps send the power to the rear wheels.

The standard slick tires enable Dallar EXP to deliver 2.7 G of lateral accelerations in curves, which is double the figures registered by the street-legal supercars and hypercars. 

No prices have been made public yet but what has been announced is even more captivating: Stradale owners will be able to acquire various EXP components and swap them for using their car both on the track and on the road.
