China Developed An Electric Vehicle Able To Reach 100 Km/H In Just 1.8 Seconds!

It appears that Tesla and Rimac have reason to be concerned. WM Motors has developed an electric prototype capable of breathtaking acceleration, which will be unveiled at the Chengdu Motor Show on August 29.

The pure EV is said to be based on the Weltmeiter W6, however, the two vehicles have very little in common. The prototype, according to WM Motors, has an electric propulsion system fueled by a 1,400 kWh battery and can accelerate in just 1.8 secs.

Guanjun, which means to "Champion" in Chinese, is the name given to the prototype. The tiny SUV has the appearance of a race car, and the body package it comes with would put it in the company of Pikes Peak racers. The massive splitter and rear spoilers are designed to boost downforce so that the electric car's full potential may be realized.

According to LinkedIn statements from WM Motors, the Guanjun features two electric motors with a combined capacity of 600 kW (816 hp). The FIA-approved 1,400 kWh liquid-cooled battery with a composite power structure runs at 400 V. The 0-100 km/h sprint takes 1.8 secs in these conditions, which is quicker than the Tesla Model S Plaid (1.99 secs), Rimac Nevera (1.97 secs), and Czinger 21C (1.9 secs).
