Mercedes has revealed the updated EQS in advance of its presentation at the Auto China show. Now standard on all electric sedans is the dynamic AMG Line front bumper, which takes design cues from the S-Class with its redesigned grille and flush-mounted chrome slats.

On the interior, the 2025 Mercedes EQS retains its previous design elements while getting more chrome highlights and better back seats with an additional half inch of padding. The rear seats now feature electronically adjustable backrests, ranging from 27 to 36 degrees.

The carmaker also upgraded the comfort cushions with contrast stitching and Nappa leather piping. Selecting the Pinnacle trim with the optional Executive Interior Package will provide customers with the most luxurious backseat experience. Included is an adjustable front passenger seat, which expands the space in the second row.

Not only that, but there are more tricks under the sleeve, including a rear backrest that can recline to a maximum of 38 degrees and quick heating for the rear passengers' butt, neck, and shoulders. Additionally, the option comes with lighted trim on the back of the front seats and pneumatically adjustable rear seats. The EQS's brand-new battery, which has a capacity of 118 kWh, contributes to improved performance.

With the upgraded battery and brake algorithms, energy recovery may reach a higher level, up from 108.4 kWh before. These modifications result in an expanded range for the 2025 EQS. The automaker says the WLTP range increases by 51 miles (82 km). Additional 3,748 lbs (1,700 kg) of towing capability is available on European versions with all-wheel drive.

That's a significant increase above the previous maximum of 1,653 lbs (750 kg), which was more than 100%. Dealerships in the United States will begin to stock the American model later this year. Current EQS start at $104,400; however, price details for the facelifted 2025 Mercedes EQS are unavailable at this time.
