Chevy Unveils Exclusive Red Flame Series C8 Corvette For Japanese Market

Japanese customers may now place orders for a limited-edition Red Flame Series C8 Chevrolet Corvette. Only 40 units will be available for the new Corvette Special Edition model in the domestic market. The Red Flame Series will be available in both coupe and convertible body styles from Chevy.

Chevy will coat one half with Carbon Flash Metallic, and the other half with Red Mist Metallic Tint Coat. Around the mid-mounted 6.2-liter V8, all Coupe variants will get carbon fiber trim as standard equipment.

When the convertible top is down, owners will be able to glimpse the V8 engine via a tiny see-through panel installed in the engine compartment. Carbon Flash 5-spoke aluminum wheels and full-length twin racing stripes are standard on all 20 vehicles finished in Red Mist Metallic Tint Coat.

Interior details include light beige upholstery and red brake calipers. Chevy has also installed the stealth interior package and GT2 bucket seats. To counterbalance the appearance, Adrenaline Red Dip decorates the inside of models finished in Carbon Flash Metallic.

The carbon flash metallic coupe and red mist metallic tint coat variants start at 17,900,000 yen (~$117,000) and 17,400,000 yen (~$108,000), respectively. The carmaker will start delivery of their Chevy Corvette Red Flame Series in September. Anyone interested can contact a Chevrolet dealership.
