GM has recently made several bold statements, claiming that it is working to improve every element of its business, from cutting electric vehicle emissions to transitioning to renewable energy. New, more inexpensive Chevrolet electric cars, along with an entry-level Equinox EV, are being developed as part of GM's path ahead, which includes doubling revenue and increasing profit margins.

By the end of the decade, the business wants to have doubled annual revenues from a five-year average of roughly $140 billion, which it hopes to achieve through the development of technology and other new endeavors. Thanks to new models on "compelling platforms," EV revenue is estimated to rise from roughly $10 billion in 2023 to around $90 billion in 2030.

Equinox EV

Because simply raising revenue isn't enough, GM wants to achieve margins of 12-14% by the end of the decade, with the expectation that EVs would help extend these margins due to lower battery prices and new technology advancements. GM reportedly anticipates its Cruise self-driving services to generate up to $50 billion in yearly revenue by 2030.

Equinox EV
The arrival date of the electric Chevrolet Silverado is a big deal to the average Joe, but it won't be the only new EV on the market in the future. Chevrolet Blazer will be available in electric form, and the Equinox EV, the firm's second-best-selling vehicle behind the Silverado, will be available in electric form as well.

According to GM president Mark Reuss, Equinox EV will cost less than $30,000 when it goes on sale. A new entry-level Chevy EV, which could undercut even the Bolt EV, has also been mentioned by Reuss. We're eager to find out.
