As part of a tour to boost sales, specialized British automaker Charge Cars is bringing its electrified 1967 Ford Mustang to America. The redesigned Ford Mustang was unveiled in March, and just 499 cars would be produced globally.

In late October, it will have its official premiere at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, followed by a tour of various major events. Then, in the middle of November, it will be shown at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Charge Cars CEO Vadim Shagaleev remarked, "We are delighted to be in Los Angeles with our partners to celebrate the launch of the Charge '67 in the United States."

Charge Cars, while developing their electric Mustang, stuck quite closely to the original design of the 1967 model year car by starting with a licensed Mustang body. LED headlights and taillights, flush-mounted door handles, unique alloys, and a completely enclosed front grille are just some of the contemporary touches to the otherwise unaltered appearance.

Inside, the electric Mustang is much different from a 1967 Mustang. The digital instrument cluster, portrait-oriented infotainment screen, three-spoke steering wheel, wireless phone charging, and tire pressure monitoring system are just a few of the cool features this Ford Mustang has.

The four electric motors are powered by a 63 kWh battery pack to provide a total of 536 horsepower and 1,106 pound-feet of torque. Charge Cars claims the electrified Ford Mustang can reach 62 mph in 3.99 seconds and has a range of 200 miles per charge. A DC rapid charger takes one hour to recharge the battery from 0 to 80%.
