The Avatr 07 is the newest NEV from Changan and CATL's partnership. Unsurprisingly, Huawei, a key component supplier, heavily relies on its technology in the 07's development.

According to local sources, Changan developed the 07 to rival the all-conquering Tesla Model Y, with a price range of 250,000 to 350,000 yuan (or roughly $34,600 to $48,400). Similar to the Avatr 11, the 07 shares several design cues and an overall form with the crossover.

The LED daytime running lights run along the fascia, connected to a black grille. At the same time, the back looks a lot like the Avatr 11 and 12, down to the narrow LED taillights and small window. Similarly shaped as the front grille is the space that holds the license plate. In terms of sizes, the Changan Avatr 07 has a length of 4,825 mm (189.9 inches), a width of 1,980 mm (77.9 inches), a height of 1,620 mm (67.7 inches), and a wheelbase of 2,940 mm (115.7 inches).

You may choose between wheels that are 20 or 21 inches in diameter. The 07 is available from Avatr in two variants: battery-electric and with an extended range. The base model of the BEV comes with a CATL LFP battery and a single 338-hp motor mounted on the back axle. Plans also include a dual-motor BEV capable of producing a total of 590 horsepower.

The regular EREV, which has a 1.5-liter engine producing 154 hp and a 310 hp electric motor mounted at the back axle, will round out the lineup. Another option is an all-wheel-drive EREV, which has a total of 485 horsepower and can go 178 kilometers (111 miles) on electric power alone.
