Yes, this 1999 Chevy Camaro Z28 ran at a top speed of 202 mph which is also the Bugatti Veyron's top speed. Best off all the Z28 is listed for sale on eBay for $60,000.
The main question is how would a 5.7-liter V8 with 300 hp allow the Z28 to run at such speed, and the answer is it wouldn't. At least not until you spend around $70,000 on tuning. The owner says that if you'd want to build such a car you'd have to pay around $120k. He built it in his own tuning shop called: JFR Motors. After adding a forged 6.6-liter LS V8 engine, a custom 91 mm turbocharger and some more fine-tuning, the Camaro is producing around 1,150 hp at the dyno.
The car was recorded doing 202 mph at the Mojave Mile in 2014 where it has beaten the so much more expensive Veyron hypercar. So you could now easily own a Veyron beating Camaro for only $60k!!
