Bollinger Diverts Attention To Commercial Vehicles, Putting B1 And B2 On Hold

A growing number of electric trucks are on their way, but that doesn't include the Bollinger B2. Even though it was announced in 2018, the truck was supposed to go into production in 2020, and now it has been canceled for an indefinite period.

Bollinger Motors CEO Robert Bollinger stated in a video that the B1 and B2 have been under development since 2015 and that the business has invested hard work and devotion into building muscular, unique, and different cars. 
However, the company has opted to delay development and instead concentrate on commercial vehicles.

Fans may be angry, but Bollinger says the transition is necessary to continue to develop their technology and make a clear effect on the green future of the automotive industry. Reservation holders have been notified, and deposits will be returned as soon as possible by Venmo or paper check, according to the firm.

The production-intent Bollinger B1 and B2 were revealed in late 2020, with a 142 kWh battery pack and a twin-motor all-wheel-drive system with a combined power of 614 hp (458 kW / 623 PS) and torque of 668 lb-ft (906 Nm). This was supposed to allow the cars to go from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 96 km/h) in 4.5 secs and have a range of more than 200 miles (322 km).
