It's the end of the line for the venerable BMW V12, which will cease production this summer. There will be a small number of the last 7-Series built for the U.S. to commemorate the brand's 35-year affiliation with the engine configuration. The "Final V12" automobiles, will be based on the BMW M760i xDrive.

Restricted to just 12 models for the US market, each M760i will be priced from $200,000 plus destination costs. Distinctive badging, wheels and a broad range of customizing choices will set them apart.

BMW's 6.6-liter V12 engine, which has two mono-scroll turbochargers, infinitely variable valve management, and produces 601 hp (609 PS/448 kW) between 5,500 and 6,500 rpm, will provide the power. An eight-speed automatic gearbox distributes the power to all four wheels. The limited M760i edition promises a 3.6-second 0-60 mph (96 km/h) time.

The vehicle's appearance will be distinguished by V12 badging at the rear and unique 20-inch Style 760M double-spoke alloy wheels, which will be coated in either Window Grey or Jet Black and then polished to expose a deep silver surface accent. Other options include blue or black brake calipers and any BMW Individual paint finish.

Both the engine cover and the door sills include the inscription "THE FINAL V12." The inside has BMW Individual Piano Black Finish detailing throughout, and a plaque in the central console recognizes the car as "1 OF 12."

The M760i Final V12 will be available solely as a fully equipped model, featuring BMW's Driving Assistance Professional Package, the Luxury Rear Seating Package, adaptive LED headlights with Laserlight, a panoramic LED roof, and a Bowers & Wilkins audio system. With the Full Merino leather upholstery, buyers may choose from eight different inside colors.

In June 2022, production will begin, and deliveries are planned for July.
