With the MotoGP race organized by the Grand Prix of Qatar at the 2021 season coming up, BMW finally revealed its representative at Losail International Circuit. Each racing competitor has safety car fleets that play a key role in leading the racers to warmup laps at the beginning of them or, are the ones who slow down the action in case a yellow flag situation happens.

The German automaker introduced its new safety car fleet at the beginning of this month, on March 9, 2021. BMW started supplying dully-specced safety cars in 1999, but for this season, there's a slight change. This year there will be more than three safety cars - the fleet is completed by an M 1000 RR Safety Bike.

According to its official statement, Markus Flasch, BMW M CEO, "the safety car fleet is their main focus and involvement into the MotoGP competition, and this year they outdid themselves by presenting a total of four vehicles for the race track." This year's final project presents new models based on production models to show an outstanding performance and driving dynamics plus the two wheels bike ideally suited to appear in the MotoGP.

The automaker already has an M3, an M4, and an M5 CS for the Qatar 2021 BMW MotoGP, so, the Safety Bike was added to mark with style its first-ever M-badged bike as further promotion of the intention to participate at the 2021 World Superbike Championship. Of course, the M 1000 RR Safety Bike will be a race version specially modified especially for the WSCK this year.

BMW also is ready to introduce its safety fleet for a Portugal 2021 MotoGP on April 18. The fleet will be formed from an M8 Competition Coupe Safety Car, an M8 Competition Gran Coupe Safety Car, an X5 M Medical Car, and the already known new addition M 1000 Safety Bike.
