BMW M4 GT3 EVO: New Look, Enhanced Aerodynamics For 2025

Midway through its cycle, the road-going M4 received a cosmetic update at the start of this year. Now, BMW is coordinating the appearance of the racing cars with that of the coupe. BMW is applying the EVO treatment to the GT3 and GT4 in preparation for their racing debuts in 2025.

Since it competes at a higher level than the GT4, it is not surprising that the BMW M4 GT3 EVO takes center stage. With the addition of the yellow DRLs seen on the M4 CS special edition, the 2025-spec M4 GT3 EVO retains the updated headlights of the street-legal model.

Not only do the front lights appear different, but they're also lighter and simpler to maintain than before. Those same laser taillights made their debut on an M4 CSL in 2022, and they made their way to the back of the track-only vehicle. To improve aerodynamics, the BMW M4 GT3 EVO racer now has smaller mirrors and wider louvers for the front wheel arches.

Because BMW wanted more downforce at the back axle, they angled that enormous wing. Extra anti-roll bars on each axle, larger rear brake discs, and a tweaked differential for simpler adjustments are some of the other changes. The official photos don't capture the immense size of the M4 GT3 EVO. Its 197.6-inch length dwarfs a 7 Series E65. The dimensions are the same as the non-EVO variant.

The racing vehicle has eschewed its traditional paint job for a lighter design. Cathodic dip coating, on the other hand, is beneficial. Furthermore, by removing the non-reflective matte black foil, some areas of the body now have exposed carbon fiber. The P58 engine is a 3.0-liter inline-six with two turbochargers and up to 590 horsepower. A six-speed Xtrac sequential gearbox transfers the power to the road. It's an upgraded version of the M8 GTE's transmission.

According to BMW, the turbos are now more dependable and won't need servicing for the first 12,427 kilometers. With over 80 wins and nine championships under its belt, the existing model sets a high bar for the M4 GT3 EVO to clear. Its net price, at today's currency rates, is almost $625,000 (or €578,000).
