BMW iX xDrive50 Redefines The Green Enivronment

BMW iX trademark is the German's automaker wise way of redefining electrical vehicles and create more than just a green car. The company wants to focus on the next generation EVs for more sustainable sourcing and production. They want to invest in developing the "well-to-wheel" energy analysis, ensuring a socially responsible car starting at the time the raw materials are gathered.

After succeeding in making a resource-gathering car project by following the environment protection, human rights, and recyclability musts. Let's take, for example, the cobalt that's used in the batteries. This is a metal from non-n-conflict regions and this way BMW guarantees their suppliers that the batteries they use are ethically sourced.

BMW reached the fifth generation with its Edrive electric motors, and now they aren't using magnets like other automakers. They're using electromagnetic fields and here they also succeeded to cut about the problematic supply chain. It's important to know that the magnets are indeed difficult to mine, and still, it's problematic to obtain.

Each piece of aluminum used is sourced from a UAE company that is an eco-friendly one, by obtaining it using partial solar power. The wood BMW uses for its iX's electric wood control panel is made from sustainably grown trees. At the same time, natural wood fibers are made part of the Loft Stone Grey interior. Also, the seats are made from leather treated with an extract from olive leaves and no toxic tanning agents were used for its extraction.

The carpets and the floor are created from synthetic yarn produced from recycled nylon harvested from fishing nets and plastics manufacturing. Ecologists would confirm that recycled plastics produce 80% less CO2 than petroleum-based nylon. Also, there's a cowl panel cover, door panel cover, bumper guides, front bumper surround, cable ducts, and tailgate paneling use recycled plastic. Imagine a car that has 20% of its parts made out of recycled plastic.

This is what would look like an iX xDrive50. It has many other functions that make it more than just a green car. The BMW iX is scheduled to launch earlier next year, but you can order it starting June this year.
