Japan, congrats! You just got two BMW special editions: X5 Pleasure and 8-Series, also known as the Frozen Black Edition. Let’s see what these cars come aboard with.

X5 Pleasure comes with formerly optional features, like seven seats and leather upholstery inside, and semi-autonomous driving systems. There is a 3.0-liter straight-six diesel engine powering the car, delivering 286 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. This “Pleasure” comes with a 10.38-million-yen (USD 93.687) price tag.

On the other hand, 8-Series Frozen Black Edition comes in Coupe and Gran Coupe versions. You may choose its body but the finishing will always be the same: matte black with an optional Shadow Line package, bearing black tailpipes and black kidney grille. BMW 8-Series Frozen Black Edition is completed with M sport brake calipers on the outside.

As for the interior, Frozen Black has M Sport black sears, a panoramic sunroof made of glass, a bespoke BMW headliner in Alcantara. All this is completed by Alcantara and Merino leather, with BMW Individual piano black trim. All this can be admired and felt under a great soundtrack coming out of the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system.

BMW 8-Series Frozen Black Edition will comprise 15 Gran Coupes and 5 Coupes. Japanese clients will be able to secure a reservation starting with June 30, for a price starting at 15 million yen (USD 135.385) for the Coupe and 15.1 million yen (USD 136.288) for the Gran Coupe.
