A 1999 Vector M12 supercar is auctioned at Barret-Jackson later this month.  One of the last from the total of 14 built Vector flamboyants this is a rare item for car passionate collectors. The auction house organizes one of the world's greatest collector car auctions.

The rarity and the originality of these supercars are proven by the fact that Vector managed to make only fourteen before its company dissolved. This one of the automakers who had one goal - to make an American supercar. Founded by Jerry Wiegert, the inventor invested two decades of his life into pursuing his dream and produced the Vector W8.

The car industry isn't protected from the sad history when a founder loses control over his company. In 1992 the company was lost to the Indonesian firm MegaTech. The 1999 Vector M12 was built already by MegaTech and is the 12 supercar and was build especially for the Prince of Brunei, who wanted his Vector with a black exterior and red leather interior.

In November 2019 the M12's engine underwent service and the variant listed for auction today, has a rebuilt clutch, a ceramic flywheel, and a modified interior designed to accommodate taller drivers. Its odometer shows only 2,160 miles.

The supercar is powered by a 5,7-liter engine V-12 coupled to a five-speed manual transmission delivering up to 492 horsepower and 671 Nm of torque and reaches 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and a top speed 0f 190 mph.

You can register to bid online due to the lockdowns, but if you can also attend the auction. It will take place between Mach 20 and March 27 in Scottsdale, Arizona. If you're a car collector, here's your chance to own an exclusive car.
